Alzheimer’s Case no. 1
Alzheimer’s Case No. 1 explores the relationship between Doctor Alois Alzheimer and his patient, Auguste Deter – the first person in history to be diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Deter’s tragic experience of losing her memory as well as her mental and physical health, unfolds throughout the file in a chronological order of events. The file is a typographical reimagining of Deter’s patient file with original examination interviews, and Alzheimer’s own observational notes.
